About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President/General Manager to lead one of its multi-platform media stations. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the station's management, with a primary focus on growing revenue and audience. This role requires a strategic leader who can develop and implement operational plans for the station's growth in multi-platform content delivery and revenue generation, in alignment with the local brand. The VP/GM will be the key figure in driving ratings and revenue, and must be adept at fostering a collaborative, innovative, and accountable work environment. Visible leadership in the community, strong client relationships, and a commitment to the highest ethical standards are essential. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' media experience, including a background as a GM, DOS, or ND, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field. The role demands a leader with great communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a strong understanding of the industry and its future. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and analytical thinker, an excellent negotiator, and possess the leadership skills necessary to build and retain high-performing teams. Familiarity with financial reporting, employment law compliance, and the ability to adapt to and lead through change are also key qualifications. The VP/GM will be expected to ensure the station's compliance with all relevant rules and regulations, and to provide training and development opportunities for team members.
