Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for a school-based travel position in Columbia, South Carolina. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students in a school setting and a strong commitment to enhancing the academic and functional abilities of students through individualized therapeutic services. This is a full-time, contract position with opportunities to make a positive impact on students' lives while working in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students in a school setting.
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with a wide range of needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to support students' academic and functional success.
• Design and implement therapy plans to improve students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and overall independence.
• Offer training and support to school staff on strategies for enhancing student engagement and participation in the classroom.
• Travel to various school locations as required within the Columbia, SC area.

Requirements:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure in Occupational Therapy in South Carolina.
• Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school or educational setting.
• Strong understanding of IEP development, therapy interventions, and educational needs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a focus on teamwork.
• Ability to travel to multiple school sites in the Columbia, SC area.
• Flexible and adaptable to different school environments and student needs.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of students effectively.
