Number of ORs: 4


Minimum Years of Experience? RN – 2 years; CST 2 years


Will you accept a first-time traveler? Prefers travel experience

Case Types:

General surgeries (open and laparoscopic) – bowel, gallbladder, appendix, hernias


Urology


ENT


Ophthalmology


GYN – includes C-sections


Ortho (HEAVY) – Ortho Trauma is a MUST, Total Joints (preferred)


Must have experience with After-hours/On Call cases – Trauma, ER C-sections, Emergency General cases

Cases performed per day (average):

10-12 scheduled

Required Licensure and Certifications:

RN: BLS, ACLS (preferred)


Scrub Tech: BLS, National Certification

Skills required:

RN:

General Sx – bowel surgeries (open and lap), gallbladders, appendix, hernias

CRNA’s will run all of the rooms

Technology/Equipment:

EMR: Cerner


IV pumps: Alaris


Medication dispensing: Pyxis

Floating: If yes, where?

None

Orientation:

Approximately 2 weeks, dependent on skillset and comfort level


Call Buddy within 1 st 2 weeks

Scheduling:

Mon – Fri: 0


Weekend rotation: only on call

Call team (1500 Fri until 0630 Mon) – Emergent cases only

Call required:

RN : 1 shift per week; 1 weekend every 4-6 weeks


Scrub Tech : same as above

Weekdays: After 1500 – 0630


Weekends: Fri 1500 to Mon 0630 – Emergent cases only


Call back time is 30 minutes


No sleep room – stretchers are available in Day Surgery

Holiday Expectations? On call only


RTO: Manager approval


Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks

Scrub Color: Surgical scrubs provided
