Are you a finance wizard with an eye for detail and a knack for numbers? We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Staff Accountant to join our bustling team. This is not your average number-crunching job. You'll be part of an energetic, fast-paced environment where your skills will be challenged and your knowledge expanded. As a Staff Accountant, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks from accounts payable and receivable to construction accounting. Your expertise in Sage and monthly close procedures will be utilized and valued.
Responsibilities:
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our company. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Managing all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately and timely.
2. Conducting regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation.
3. Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
4. Coordinating with the construction team to ensure accurate project accounting.
5. Utilizing Sage accounting software to streamline and automate financial processes.
6. Completing monthly close procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
7. Identifying and recommending improvements to financial procedures and controls.
8. Assisting with tax preparation and audits as needed.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting role, you must have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
3. Extensive experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and construction accounting.
4. Proficiency in Sage accounting software.
5. Proven experience in completing monthly close procedures.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
