Job Details Responsibilities:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a diverse range of activities, which include but are not limited to:
1. Maintaining the general ledger and preparing monthly journal entries.
2. Managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.
3. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
4. Conducting account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
5. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
6. Analyzing financial data and creating reports for management.
7. Assisting with internal and external auditing procedures.
8. Ensuring compliance with all internal processes and financial regulations.
9. Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Staff Accountant position, the candidate must possess the following:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
3. Proficiency in general ledger accounting and the management of accounts payable and receivable.
4. Experience in preparing financial statements and conducting financial analysis.
5. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and use advanced functions.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Knowledge of GAAP and other accounting best practices.
10. CPA certification or progress towards certification is highly desirable.
