Job Details Responsibilities:
As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the general ledger and conducting account reconciliations.
- Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Handling accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payment processing, and follow-up on outstanding receivables.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Participating in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assisting with audits and tax preparations.
- Collaborating with other departments to improve financial procedures and ensure financial integrity.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Staff Accountant position should have the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1 year of experience in accounting or a related role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with general ledger functions, account reconciliation, financial statement preparation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify discrepancies or inconsistencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts and data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and make decisions.
- A proactive attitude, with the ability to take initiative and work independently when needed.
