Position Overview
Are you a creative and motivated student looking to gain real-world experience in marketing and branding? We are seeking a highly driven, self-starting individual to join our North America Marketing team as a Part-Time Marketing Intern for the Spring Semester (160 hours, credit-based, non-paid). This role will primarily support our Creative and Brand Marketing Campaigns.
Responsibilities:
Community Management
Engage with audiences on social media to build brand awareness and affinity across platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube.
Reach out to bloggers, media outlets, influencers, and other key figures to share newly published content.
Address customer service queries and escalate issues as needed.
Develop strategies to organically grow our social media audiences.
Creative Support
Research and write both short- and long-form content.
Refresh and optimize existing blog content to improve engagement.
Upload and edit blog posts using WordPress.
Source, crop, and upload images for blog posts and campaigns.
Social Media
Assist in the creation of social media-first content, including pitching ideas, writing captions, sourcing images, and designing assets.
Monitor current events and trends to find opportunities to insert our brand into relevant conversations.
General
Assist with Marketing and PR campaigns as needed, including tasks such as analyzing travel data.
Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
Qualifications:
Must be able to work part-time (20 hours per week) in-office.
College students (juniors and seniors) or recent graduates pursuing a degree in Marketing/Communications, English, or a related field are preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Strong attention to detail with excellent grammar and proofreading skills.
Able to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
A sense of humor, creativity, and curiosity.
Active on social media with knowledge of what makes a great story across platforms.
Passion for travel is a plus.
Bonus Points for Candidates Who:
Have experience with social media management tools (e.g., Zoho Social, Hootsuite, Spredfast).
Have used WordPress or other content management systems (CMS).
Understand SEO principles.
Have familiarity with Google Analytics, social media metrics, and content performance measurement.
Have basic Photoshop skills.
