Minimum 1+ years occupational therapy experience required.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Metuchen, NJ. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to work within a collaborative school environment, providing essential therapy services to students with a variety of developmental and physical needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assess students' physical, sensory, and motor abilities to determine therapy goals and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans designed to improve students' ability to participate in daily activities at school and at home.
• Work with students to enhance fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, sensory processing, and adaptive skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into the classroom setting and ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direct therapy services in both one-on-one and group settings.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including therapy notes, progress reports, and IEP (Individualized Education Plan) updates.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student goal setting and progress monitoring.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Valid New Jersey State Occupational Therapist License.
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff.
• Dedication to helping students develop the skills they need to succeed academically and socially.
