Responsibilities RN New Grad / RN Residency Program - March 2024 Community Hospital of San Bernardino Overview: At CommonSpirit Health, we believe our nursing care is our brand. We commit to providing a nationally-standardized, evidence-based best practice for newly licensed and new-to-practice nurses to transition-to-practice safely, effectively, and efficiently. This innovative New Graduate RN Residency features a challenging program blending didactic, skills enhancement, and simulation with clinical experience and unit socialization. This New Graduate RN Residency accelerates nursing competencies by providing in depth experiences, education, and support during the Nurse Residents first year. A competency-based curriculum coupled with trained preceptors and active mentorship capitalizes on ANCC Accreditation design and evidence-based practices. Commitment: The program consists of a comprehensive evidence-based clinical orientation in addition to a 12-month transition-to-practice.The program requires full-time employment without vacation or other activities requiring more than a 1-2 day absence during the length of the program (12 months from start). Any scheduled time off will necessitate approval of the hiring manager and RN Residency Coordinator prior to the start of the Residency Program. - Should you be accepted into the program, it is important to understand that continued employment is contingent upon satisfactory performance (during and after the residency) in the judgment of both the hospital and the Department of Nursing.
Timeline: Our next RN Residency program start date will begin March 2024. Completion will be based on 100% validation of competencies during your clinical hours. - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing, within the last 12 months required.
- 0-12 months of professional nursing (RN) experience.
- An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state they will be practicing (interim permits cannot be accepted) upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Additional certifications may be required based on populations served.
Pay Range $50.46 - $65.85/hour
