\nQualifications \n- Required: \n- High School diploma/GED \n- Either BLS or Annual Manikin training including CPR and AED after 6 months of hire \n- Strongly Preferred: \n- Medical Assistant Course or diploma program or a minimum of 1 year professional experience \n- National MA Certification via AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT \n- Pulmonary, Allergy, or Critical Care specialty experience preferred. \n\nBonus\n- We're offering a generous sign-on bonus $750.00 to welcome you to our team. About our Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine Department Our practice is located at 10 Main Street (2nd Floor) Florence, MA \n\n01062. O\nur team is committed to advancing patient health by helping them achieve optimal levels of comfort, energy, and quality living through a variety of outpatient procedures and treatment. Working in close collaboration with Cooley Dickinson Hospital’s Respiratory Services and Cardiopulmonary Rehab departments, we have the combined experience and expertise to diagnose, treat and manage: \n- Asthma—spirometry evaluation, FeNO (fractional exhaled nitric oxide) testing, assessment of asthma control and tailored asthma education \n- Allergies—skin testing as well as allergen, venom and drug desensitization. \n- COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder)—pulmonary function testing and interpretation, home oxygen assessments \n- Pulmonary Nodules—symptom evaluation (FeNO and fiberoptic laryngoscopy), bronchoscopy \n- Pleural Effusions—thoracentesis \n- Symptoms—evaluation of symptoms including chronic cough, shortness of breath and lung cancer screening. \nRole Overview We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant II to support the practice onsite, Monday through Friday. As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team. \nThe vision is for our Medical Assistants to work 1 to 1 with their assigned provider while having the ability to rotate occasionally. \nThe schedule for this role is Monday-Friday 8:30AM \n- 5:00P\nM. \nResponsibilities include: \n- Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office \n- Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, point of care testing, immunizations, procedures, and treatments as directed) \n- Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.) \n- Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas \n- Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs.
