Job Summary

To provide accurate, professional medical interpretation for LEP (limited English Proficiency) patients at BMC and affiliated outpatient services.

Experience

Two years preferred, interpreting for people with limited English proficiency, in official or unofficial capacity. Can include medical, legal or business translation Education and Training

High school diploma required, some college preferred. Area Health Education Center Medical Interpreter Training Program course or equivalent. License, Certification & Registration

CMI or CHI certification preferred. Other Requirements Must have a telephone, reliable transportation, and ability to be flexible for on-call coverage, understand role and boundaries of an interpreter. Strict adherence to confidentiality policy. Schedule

Monday-Friday 8 am -4:30 pm
