Job Description

Artisan Partners is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented MBA candidate with a strong background and interest in environment, social and governance (ESG) for the Sustainable Emerging Markets Investment team. This paid internship will run approximately for 10 weeks during the summer of 2025.

Location: New York, NY

Salary Range: $14,000 / month

Specific placement within the provided range will be determined by an individual’s geographic location as well as relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Associates may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon Firm and individual performance.

Responsibilities

The candidate is expected to:

  • Partner with the Sustainable Emerging Markets Investment team to integrate ESG analysis into investment decision processes
  • Conduct research on ESG and impact protocols and frameworks, exploring best practices, technology, policy, and regulatory aspects related to sustainability topics
  • Assist the Sustainable Emerging Markets Investment team in creating ESG and Impact Due Diligence reports as necessary
  • Participate in evaluations, reporting against taxonomies, and adherence to various regulations and frameworks, including ESG ratings agencies

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program
  • Prior experience in finance, management consulting or sustainability related roles preferred
  • Profound understanding of ESG investment methodologies and a strong grasp of financial markets, products, and research methodologies
  • High degree of self-motivation and ability to set priorities
  • Capacity of differentiated thinking
  • Highest personal and professional integrity and ethics
  • Good communicator that can work independently and collaboratively
  • Demonstrated quantitative and statistical ability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
