Job Description

Supports activities to develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods, preparing analyses reports, presenting information and making recommendations to solve problems and/or improve processes.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • · Identifies root causes of production inefficiencies.
  • · Identifies non-conformances of product or process standard and offers recommendations for resolving deviations.
  • · Develops, maintains, or reviews compliance documentation including schematics, protocols, and engineering change notes.
  • · Modifies testing methods or revisits test objectives and standards to resolve testing issues.
  • Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
  • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
  • Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
  • Coordinates interdepartmentally on projects to ensure alignment and consistency on project management across both sites while adhering to Quality, Compliance, Safety, and Production Standards.
  • EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors degree in related field required.
  • 3 Years’ experience as a manufacturing and/or validation engineer
  • BASIC SKILLS & CAPABILITIES
  • · Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • · Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • · Thorough understanding of industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • · Thorough understanding of applicable mathematics and science practices.
  • · Thorough understanding of related equipment and the ability to perform equipment modifications.
  • · Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
