Job Title: Production Chemist Lead

Location: Torrance, CA

Salary: $80K-$115k

Overview:

This role provides technical leadership and support in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with cGMPs. Responsibilities include guiding a team, troubleshooting equipment, reviewing documentation, and improving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Support all production stages (e.g., synthesis, purification, lyophilization, in-process testing).
• Train team members on equipment, SOPs, and processes.
• Operate and maintain scientific manufacturing equipment (e.g., HPLC, lyophilizers).
• Ensure team members adhere to scheduling, breaks, and accurate timekeeping.
• Review BPRs, SOPs, and quality documents.
• Lead quality investigations (e.g., Deviations, CAPA) and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure smooth shift transitions and communicate production updates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, or similar.
• 4-6 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing (1-2 years in cGMP preferred).
• Familiarity with HPLC, analytical methods, and hazardous materials.
• Strong computer skills (SAP preferred).
