Job Description

We're assisting a well-funded seed stage startup with their search for founding backend engineers. Their product is Spotify for reading an app that puts writing from all across the internet at your fingertips. This role will be onsite in their NYC office, and they're hiring multiple engineers in this capacity.

The company tech stack: React Native, Typescript Node.JS backend, Postgres

What you'll do:
•Index all of the blogs and newsletters on the Internet with perfect formatting.
•Build an article recommendation engine. Of the millions of articles on the Internet, can we show users the best possible thing for them to read at any given moment as soon as they open the app?
•Scrape, ingest, and organize third-party and meta data to improve those recommendations.

What you'll bring:

• 2+ years of experience in backend engineering

• Experience working in a VC-backed seed-to-Series A startup.

• CS degree

• Able and excited to work in-office with the team in NYC.
