This position can either be remote or officed at our North Central St. Cloud location. St. Cloud and will oversee our Twin Cities and Southern MN territory. This territory is full of beautiful state parks, lakes, landmarks, and attractions including Minnehaha Falls, Fort Snelling State Park, the Mayowood Mansion, Cannon Valley Trail, the Spam Museum and the State Capital.

Position Description:

As a Bus Sales Rep, you will be responsible for the sales and marketing of School and Commercial Bus Sales within your territory. The goal of this role is to increase business from existing accounts and to generate new business through prospecting, cold calls, trade associations, and marketing. This position requires calling on established and potential accounts which include School Districts, School Bus Contractors, Public Transit Agencies, Long-term Care Facilities, and other Retail Transportation Customers who purchase buses and vans.

Essential Functions

  • Sales Strategy & Customer Engagement: Conduct personal visits and cold calls to existing and potential customers to increase sales revenue and profitability within the assigned territory
  • Marketing Plan Development & Event Support: Assist in developing the yearly Bus Sales marketing plan and support events such as trade shows and open houses
  • Sales Review & Collaboration: Regularly meet with the Bus Sales Manager to review sales activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers, collaborate on email campaigns, and work with the Bus Sales Operations Team to expedite solutions and quotes
  • Customer Relationship Management: Solidify customer relationships by actively addressing their needs and requests while maintaining positive and respectful interactions with both customers and coworkers
  • Technical Support & Additional Responsibilities: Provide insight and assistance to bus technicians to ensure they understand customer expectations on sold jobs, and perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of sales experience in related industry
  • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record

Preferred Experience:

  • Class B CDL or willingness to obtain
  • 2-year Associates Degree in Sales & Marketing or related field
  • 5+ years sales experience in related industry
