Job Description

A leading academic hospital located in eastern Massachusetts is now seeking an experienced Ambulatory Pharmacy Manager to join their award-winning healthcare team. For more than a century this leading acute care hospital has provided a mix of innovative care, cutting-edge technology, and ground-breaking programs throughout the eastern Massachusetts region. This location offers behavioral health for adults and pediatrics, perioperative services, women’s health, emergency and critical care, diagnostic services, cardiovascular care, and much more. Reporting to the Senior Director Specialty Pharmacy Services, the Ambulatory Pharmacy Manager leads the clinical and administrative operations of pharmacy services across hematology, oncology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, and infectious disease departments. Primary responsibilities include managing staff schedules, developing and growing hospital pharmacy programs, participates in various hospital committees, identifies areas of improvement and cost savings, oversee specialty residency programs, provides financial oversight of pharmacy budgets, is directly involved in staff education, and ensures optimal patient outcomes.

  • What’s Needed to Succeed:*
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy of Doctor of Pharmacy PharmD
  • Licensed as a Pharmacist in the state of Massachusetts or ability to obtain
  • Progressive leadership in oncology or ambulatory pharmacy setting
